How sleep estimates work

How does Nook estimate the next sleep time?

Nook uses the sleep you record and your family’s routine to suggest when your child may be ready to sleep again. Here’s what it takes into account.

01 · RECENT SLEEP

When your child sleeps.

The sleeps you record show when your child slept, for how long, and how much time they spent awake between sleeps.

02 · NAP LENGTH

How long the nap lasted.

A shorter nap can bring the next suggested sleep time earlier, helping you plan around the sleep your child actually had.

Nook’s sleep suggestions are planning estimates, not clinical recommendations.
03 · BEDTIME

When the day winds down.

Your chosen bedtime helps Nook suggest later naps that fit around your family’s evening.

Estimates are a planning aid, not promises or medical advice. Your baby's cues and advice from your health professional come first. Source organisations do not endorse Nook or its calculations.
